Students across East Quogue Elementary School were recently welcomed back for another exciting school year filled with countless enriching educational activities and events. Learning began quickly for first-grade students in Mrs. Braithwaite and Mrs. Bellucci’s classes, who engaged in a hands-on lesson exploring the different parts of a sunflower. Justine Oudeans worked with students to help them learn the location of the seeds within the plant. The sunflowers that were examined were planted by East Quogue Elementary School students last year.

In addition, kindergarten students in Kerri King’s class kicked off the new school year making new friends and learning new routines in preparation for a fun-filled year.
