This fall has brought a number of exciting events and activities to East Quogue Elementary School. Recently, Coach Danielle Davin and Coach Matt Maloney hosted the annual Glow Run where children and their families enjoyed dancing and other activities. Included in the Glow Run this year was the Candy Challenge, which collected candy for troops over sees.

The office of Bach & Grazina East End Orthodontics purchased back the candy for $1 per pound to be sent to the troops. As an added incentive to collect more candy, by filling one collection can the coaches agreed to dye their hair blue for the day, when the second bucket was filled Assistant Principal Kelly Freeborn agreed to wear her hair crazy for a day and once the third bucket was filled the entire school earned a crazy hair day.

In addition, this month marks the beginning of intermural sports for students in third through sixth grade. For the first game, students played zip ball and are excited to playing a variety of games throughout the year.
