REGISTRATION AND SCHOOL DISTRICT VOTING INFORMATION
To participate in the May 16, 2017 Annual Budget Vote and Election of Board of Education Trustees, you must be registered to vote.

Applications for absentee ballots are available in the District Clerk's Office at the East Quogue Elementary School or on the District’s website under the 2017 – 2018 Budget link. You may either call or come in to pick up an application if you will be out of town or unable to vote in person on May 16, 2017. Completed applications must be returned at least seven (7) days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed, or one (1) day before the election if the ballot is to be picked up. Applications will be issued for the following reasons: business, studies, vacation, illness or disability. If you have any questions, please call the District Clerk at 631.653.5210.
Absentee ballots must be returned to the District Clerk by 5:00 pm on the day of the vote, May 16, 2017.
OPEN VOTER REGISTRATION:
Qualified residents may go to the East Quogue Elementary School and register any school day during school hours until May 11, 2016. A special evening registration will be held May 12, 2016 at the East Quogue Elementary School from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
EVENING VOTER REGISTRATION:
Evening registration on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm will be held in the Library at the East Quogue Elementary School (6 Central Avenue) ONLY! It is the last day to register for the May 16, 2017 vote.
Copies of the proposed budget will be available at the school in early May.
VOTING ON MAY 16:
Polls are open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. Residents will be voting on a budget which includes the East Quogue Elementary School and Westhampton Beach Middle and High Schools and for School Board Trustees.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES:
To qualify as a candidate for the School Board, a person must be a one-year resident of the school district and a qualified voter.
The potential candidate must obtain a specified number of signatures from district residents, who are registered to vote, on a petition. THE LAST DAY TO FILE THE PETITION IS APRIL 17, 2017. Petition forms may be obtained from the District Clerk, at the East Quogue Elementary School.
Completed petitions must be submitted no later than April 17, 2017 to the District Clerk, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
