Eleven students from East Quogue Elementary School were selected to participate in the Hampton Music Educators Association Middle School Festival.

The students showcased their musical skills in the areas of world drumming, chorus and band during rehearsals on Jan. 6. The festival culminates with a concert, to be held at Westhampton Beach on Jan. 13.

HMEA is a music organization which strives to provide high quality music opportunities for students attending school districts on the east end of Long Island.

The district congratulates the following HMEA participants:
World Drumming: Gianni Jenkins AJ Kenny and Alexander Wegman
Chorus: Lindsay Alban Cardenas, Emmy Gregor, Noelle Lynch, Georgica McConnell, Mia Rybak and Althea Ziccardi
Band: Mia Correa (Flute) and Elijah Moran (Trumpet)
