The East Quogue School district along with stakeholders formed a Reopening Committee based upon a survey. Each member chose a committee to participate in during our meetings. The committees; Social and Emotional, Health and Safety, Communications, Teaching and Learning, and Operations and Logistics reported their input to the Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools. This information along with the guidance from the New York State Education Department (NYSED), the New York State Department of Health (DOH), The Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Governor's Office informed our plan. Any and all of the information contained in this plan is subject to change based upon ongoing guidance from these agencies.

Communication
The East Quogue School District recognizes that during this time of uncertainty that lines of communication must remain open and consistent so that we can address the many different challenges we may face in the future. We encourage our community to visit our website. We have created a new tab called Pathways of Learning. This will be the hub for student learning for the foreseeable future. You will be able to locate this plan along with classroom resources, district updates, and lists of organizations to help support students and families. In addition, you can expect to receive information from us in the following manner.
  • Administration to Parents: All communication from administration will come via the website, social media, robocalls, email, or mail.
  • Teachers to Parents: Teachers will communicate with parents through email, Google Classroom, phone, mail, and/or text messaging (via Bloom or remind).
  • Internal Communication: Staff will communicate via email, text, phone, and faculty meetings.
