During the Feb. 27 board of education meeting, the following students were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in February.

Sixth grader Daniel Ferreira was named Art Student of the Month. The Principal’s Choice Award was given to second graders Felicity Ortega, Annie Perry and Kennedy Solomito.

Additionally, Amelia Bennett was named Student of the Month. To receive this award, a student must meet the following criteria: Students who understand that love is meant to be given generously, touching the world around us, reaching others, and, most importantly, nurturing ourselves. Students offer a kind word, a simple gesture, or a moment of genuine connection with others. Students who appreciate their own journey, acknowledge their strengths, and are kind to themselves in times of challenge.

The district congratulates the award recipients on their outstanding accomplishments.
