I wanted to update you that last night was SCOPE’s 23nd annual school district Shining Above the Rest School District Awards Dinner. We are extremely happy to announce that Jessica Stalters, Kelly Freeborn, and Robin Goldfarb were honored for their hard work and dedication to improving our great community for all students. Please take time to congratulate them. We are lucky to have such dedicated members of our school community.

Mrs. Stalters: Jessica has been an invaluable member of our school community, dedicating seven years to serving as a trustee and currently holding the position of vice-president of the board of education. Throughout her tenure, Jessica’s unwavering commitment to student achievement has left a lasting and positive impact on our district.

What makes Jessica’s service even more remarkable is her resilience and determination. Even while overcoming and working through a personal battle with cancer, Jessica never wavered in her commitment to the students and her community. Her strength, both personally and professionally, is a testament to her character and the depth of her dedication.

Jessica’s selfless contributions have helped shape the positive trajectory of our school district, and her continued commitment to excellence is a source of inspiration for us all.

Mrs. Freeborn: Kelly has been a dedicated and invaluable member of our school community, consistently going above and beyond commitment to the well-being and education of our students and families since the 2018-2019 school year. Her contributions have been particularly noteworthy throughout the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and various transitions our district has undergone in recent years.

During the unprecedented closure of schools due to the pandemic, Kelly demonstrated exceptional leadership by swiftly adapting to the new circumstances. Within a week of the shutdown, she successfully organized and conducted CSE meetings virtually, ensuring that crucial support and services for our students continued without interruption.

Kelly’s resilience, dedication, and caring nature have left an incredible mark on our school community. Her ability to navigate challenges with grace and efficiency has not only benefited our students but has also provided reassurance to our families during uncertain times.

Mrs. Goldfarb: Robin’s tenure of service spanning nearly two decades is a testament to her commitment and passion for the betterment of our school community. Her role as a secretary has been instrumental in maintaining the efficient and smooth operation of our district, showcasing her remarkable organizational skills and attention to detail.

Beyond her administrative responsibilities, Robin is renowned for being a great person who consistently goes above and beyond for both students and staff. Her warm and caring demeanor creates a welcoming atmosphere, and her genuine concern for the welfare of everyone in the school community has not gone unnoticed.

Robin is more than an employee; she is a pillar of support for the East Quogue School District. Her dedication has undoubtedly contributed to the positive and nurturing environment that defines our educational institution.
