Hello and welcome to our fourth grade classroom site. As an intermediate grade, our goal is to guide students toward independent thinking and organization. By developing a sense of responsibility for their education and time management skills, the students learn to become self motivated learners. In fourth grade, there is a large emphasis on reading for information and enjoyment; writing creatively and in response to literature; and problem solving. In addition, the fourth grade students take three New York State tests in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science.
This will be a year filled with excitement growth and new learning experiences!
