East Quogue students and faculty wore orange on Oct. 18 to show unity for kindness, acceptance and inclusion and to send a visible and strong message that no child should ever experience bullying.

East Quogue Elementary School also held its first whole-school meeting in the amphitheater and was hosted and directed by fourth, fifth and sixth grade students who encouraged peers to do one good thing for others during the school day. Additionally, select students were acknowledged with certificates for having demonstrated unity during the month of October and were applauded by their peers.
