Cartoonist and mural artist Phil Yeh visited East Quogue to teach the students about his career as a cartoonist and how to create original characters, as well as to paint a mural in the school with the students.

Mr. Yeh sketched a mural on the wall featuring the ocean, as well as some of his original cartoon characters reading books and playing instruments. The mural is completed with mascot Roary the Wildcat, who is heading into space in a rocket ship alongside the quote, "See You Out There." Each student in the school got a chance to paint the mural and leave their mark on the school.
