In math, third graders are learning to classify two-dimensional shapes. Students will learn about different types of angles and lines. They continue to practice problem-solving strategies as they revisit the skills they have been learning all year long. In social studies, students are wrapping up a unit on Cultures Around the World. They will celebrate the end of the unit by learning traditional dances of various cultures studied throughout the year. In reading and writing, the students are studying marine life and are crafting their own opinion pieces. Students are excited to use the art of persuasion in their writing. Spring is shaping up to be very busy in third grade!
