East Quogue School had a wonderful day celebrating the power of inclusion, understanding, and recognizing the unique abilities in all of us during the inaugural Ability Awareness Night. This event was made truly special thanks to the incredible volunteers, staff, and families who came together to support this important initiative.
In the weeks leading up to the event, our school social worker visited every classroom to help students build empathy and awareness, preparing them for a meaningful day of learning and connection.
At East Quogue, we believe every student is empowered and equipped for greatness. Instead of focusing on the word “disability,” we shift the conversation to recognize and celebrate the abilities each of us brings to our community.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this first Ability Awareness Day such a success.
