Today, the district celebrated the students’ hard work and commitment to making safe, healthy and responsible choices through the D.A.R.E. program.
The D.A.R.E Program, known as Drug Abuse Resistance Education, is a highly acclaimed program that provides students with the skills to avoid drugs, gangs and violence. It teaches students the skills needed to make good decisions.
We would like to thank the Southampton Police Department, Officer Vecchio and the school’s fifth grade teaching team for leading the D.A.R.E program and the staff and families for their support.
We are so proud of the students for stepping up as leaders and role models. Keep making smart choices – you have a bright future ahead.
